When the Los Angeles Clippers signed Bradley Beal following his buyout from the Phoenix Suns during the offseason, there were concerns about his health and availability. After all, the three-time All-Star had not played more than 53 games in each of the past four seasons.
Now, just 10 games into the 2025-26 campaign, Beal has already missed 40% of the Clippers' contests.
Beal has been ruled out of the Clippers' Monday night game against the Atlanta Hawks due to left hip soreness. It's the fourth game he has missed and the third different injury he has dealt with this season after being ruled out previously for lower back soreness and knee injury management.
Making things more concerning, Clippers head coach Ty Lue told reporters before their showdown with the Hawks that there's fear Beal's injury could force him to miss multiple games, per Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.
Beal has struggled in the games he has played so far with the Clippers, averaging 8.2 points on 37.5% shooting, along with 1.7 assists. Lue has said before that they are going to be patient with the All-Star guard since they want him to find his rhythm and not rush him back, as he is a big part of what they are trying to do.

With Beal's injury and potential multi-game absence, however, the L.A. franchise is now in a dilemma. Compounding their struggles, the Clippers have lost four straight games entering the matchup with the Hawks and holds a 3-6 record.
It remains to be seen what kind of adjustments Lue makes amid Beal's absence and what he intends to do once he returns. For now, however, the Clippers are simply trying to stay afloat without one of their key offseason acquisitions.
