Cody Martin to Miss Game vs. Bulls
USA TODAY Sports

Injuries continue to hinder the Charlotte Hornets' 2023-24 season and tonight, they will now be down six players for the home contest against the Chicago Bulls.

Moments ago, the team ruled out forward Cody Martin with a groin strain. Martin joins LaMelo Ball (R Ankle), Gordon Hayward (L Calf), Frank Ntilikina (L Tibia), PJ Washington (R Foot Sprain) and Mark Williams (Low Back) on the bench.

Martin just recently returned to the court for the first time in nearly a year after dealing with a nagging knee injury.

"He made a big difference for our team," head coach Steve Clifford said following Friday's loss in Chicago. "Our defense has gotten a lot better and you know, he's a professional player. I think it's going to take him a little time to get back to (himself). He's worked so hard. He's done everything you can do ever since he's been out."

The Hornets and Bulls will tip things off at 7 p.m. EST.
