Colby Jones Signs One-Year Deal With Spanish Team

After spending three college seasons with Xavier, Jones was selected 34th overall in the 2023 NBA draft. He began his professional career on a standard contract with the Kings, but didn’t see much playing time in his season-and-a-half with Sacramento, averaging 1.7 points and 1.2 rebounds in 6.0 minutes per game across 54 appearances.

The 24-year-old guard was traded to Washington in February 2025 and finished out the 2024/25 campaign with the tanking Wizards, averaging 8.7 PPG, 4.3 RPG, 2.5 APG and 1.3 SPG on .466/.308/.657 shooting splits in 15 games (25.7 MPG). Jones was traded to Oklahoma City in June 2025 and was immediately waived by the Thunder.

Jones caught on with Detroit last July, signing a two-way contract. He was waived by the Pistons on November 10 after making one NBA appearance with the club.

The 6’6″ combo guard finished last season in the G League with the Memphis Hustle, appearing in 11 games. He has also played for the Stockton Kings, Capital City Go-Go and Motor City Cruise at the NBAGL level.
