As the NBA's media partners continue finalize their talent rosters for the coming season, one outlet has decided to give a lucrative position to Steph Curry's father, Dell Curry.

According to Front Office Sports, Amazon Prime Video - one of the NBA's new media partners for the 2025-26 season - has plans to hire Dell Curry as an analyst for the coming season. Curry has no shortage of broadcast experience as he currently works as a color commentator for the Charlotte Hornets, his former NBA team.

"Amazon Prime Video is poised to announce the hiring of Dell Curry as an analyst for its growing NBA coverage team, Front Office Sports has learned," the outlet reported.

"The father of NBA superstar Steph Curry and 11-year veteran Seth Curry currently works as a color commentator for the Hornets. Curry, who became that franchise’s all-time leading scorer during his own 16-year NBA career, will join a growing list of hires for Prime’s upcoming NBA coverage during the 2025-2026 season."

Congratulations have been pouring in for Dell Curry ever since the news became public:

"W for the Curry family," one user remarked.

"This is the worst news ever as a Hornets fan man. Go be great Dell," a Hornets fan remarked.

"Incredible pick ups," a third wrote.

Fortunately, it sounds like Curry will be doing double-duty for both Amazon and the Hornets, much to the delight of Hornets fans:

"Dell Curry doing both the Charlotte Hornets broadcast and the Amazon Prime broadcast is great news to hear. He's a fantastic analyst that doesn't get a lot of shine because of the team he's covering, I hope the Amazon gig will get him the credit he deserves."

Amazon Prime Video is looking to make serious waves as they begin their foray into full-time NBA broadcasting. While NBC will be hard to beat now that the network has the legendary Michael Jordan joining their analysts desk, Amazon is turning plenty of heads.

Among the talents that Amazon has hired are NBA legends such as Dwyane Wade, Steve Nash, Dirk Nowitzki, and Blake Griffin along with WNBA icon Candace Parker.

The carrot on top for Amazon might be the prospect of adding Steph Curry once he retires.
