Cooper Flagg has offered a striking assessment of Nikola Jokic after witnessing one of the most complete performances of the NBA season.

The Denver Nuggets star delivered a staggering triple-double in a 142-135 win over the Dallas Mavericks.

Jokic finished with 23 points, 21 rebounds and 19 assists, controlling the game far beyond scoring.

Despite strong scoring displays from Jamal Murray and Flagg, it was Jokic’s all-around dominance that defined the night.

Flagg was the game’s second-highest scorer with 26 points, just behind Murray’s 53.

Yet his post-game focus was firmly on Jokic’s influence across the floor.

“I see myself growing in that way? Yeah, I think so. Like, I can learn a lot from him and just the way he’s able to read the game. But I don’t know if there will ever be somebody, you know, that can get to that level,” he replied when questioned about potentially reaching Jokic’s heights.

The 19-year-old star added: “I mean, it was incredible just the way he was able to impact the game. And at some points it feels like he’s not even trying out there, and in the end it’s a 20-20-20. So, I mean, he’s incredible and it’s just, you know, it’s crazy to be a part of that out there.”

Cooper Flagg’s debut season shows rapid growth

Flagg’s rookie campaign has followed an upward trajectory despite Dallas struggling this season.

He initially faced challenges adapting to the NBA level, but has since found consistency and confidence after a tweak in his offensive role.

Flagg is now averaging 20.4 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game, according to SofaScore.

Those numbers underline his status as one of the league’s brightest young talents.
