Cooper Flagg shines, Mavs drop Summer League game

Cooper Flagg played in his second NBA Summer League game today. He personally played much better than in his first game, yet, this time, the Mavs lost.

Flagg looked energetic in the game as he battled the No. 2 pick in the NBA Draft, Dylan Harper. Flagg scored 31 points on 10-21 shooting, including 3-9 from three. He was aggressive, drawing 13 free throws and making eight of them.

Despite his great showing, the Mavs fell 76-67. Harper played well himself, scoring 16 points while adding six rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

Flagg is certainly showing his skill and proving to all why he was the first overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. The question now remains: How will Flagg fit alongside Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis?

If you are the Dallas Mavericks, this is a good problem to have.
