DALLAS - The Dallas Mavericks recently released their preseason schedule and will hold training camp in Vancouver, Canada, from Sept. 30-Oct. 4 on the campus of Simon Fraser University.

Dallas will play their first preseason game on Monday, Oct. 6 at 7:30 p.m. against the reigning NBA champion Oklahoma City Thunder at Dickie’s Arena in Fort Worth.

The matchup will present the first opportunity for No. 1 overall pick Cooper Flagg and ten-time NBA All-Star Anthony Davis to share the floor together. The pairing of Flagg and Davis figures to be an intriguing one with both players presenting matchup problems on both ends of the floor for opposing teams.

“It pays to be lucky, right? Dallas got a generational talent when those lottery balls bounced their way," said an Eastern Conference GM on Flagg. "That kid is unbelievable. You knew after he played like crap in the first [summer league] game out here that he was going to be great the next time out. He’s an ass-kicker. Wish we had that kind of luck."

The Mavericks will play only one preseason game at American Airlines Center against the Charlotte Hornets on Oct. 11 at 7:30 p.m. Dallas will then make a trip to Salt Lake City on Oct. 13 to face the Utah Jazz at the Delta Center for an 8 p.m. tipoff.

Dallas’ final preseason game is Oct. 15, tipping off at 9.p.m. in Las Vegas at T-Mobile Arena against Lebron James, former Mavericks guard Luka Doncic and the Los Angeles Lakers.
