Dalen Terry earns praise from Billy Donovan after impactful run
USA TODAY Sports

Amid the disappointment in the Chicago Bulls ’ losing effort to complete their comeback against the Indiana Pacers, Dalen Terry emerged as a bright spot.

Terry saw himself being at the center of the Bulls’ furious second-half barrage to pull themselves back against the Pacers. His impactful presence on the blitz can be easily observed in his +29 rating to conclude the game despite Chicago's 16-point defeat.

A well-deserved props

Terry might have ended up with just six points, but what he provided on the court for the whole 19 minutes of play is truly noteworthy and immeasurable.

As such, coach Billy Donovan made sure to give a shout-out to the second-year man for being a positive unit in the team's encouraging comeback effort.

“I think he did a great job. … Dalen is competitive,” coach Billy Donovan said after their 120-104 defeat. “He wants to learn, he wants to get better and I give him credit for continuing to keep himself ready to play.”

Staying ready anytime

With both Zach LaVine and Torrey Craig still out in the meantime, Terry is poised to maintain his increased load for the Bulls. The sophomore swingman has the length and upside that is needed in the wake of the team's critical voids at the wing. He used this and had a good game in a last game of the year in which Bulls took care of the 76ers.

Whenever and in whatever way possible, Dalen vowed to be ready and equipped to help Chicago as they move along.

"I'm just trying to make the most of my minutes," said Terry.
