The Dallas Mavericks are now just one win away from a berth in the Western Conference Finals. This is after they took down the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Paycom Center in Game 5 of their second-round matchup.
This was thanks in large part to another show-stopping performance from Mavs superstar Luka Doncic, who had a savage message reserved for the OKC home crowd after their pivotal 104-92 victory on Wednesday night.
As expected, the Oklahoma City faithful were on Doncic all game long — just like they have been throughout this series. When asked to comment about the hostile reception he’s received from the Thunder fans, the five-time All-Star went full savage with his response:
“I love it. And when they chant, ‘Luka sucks,’ it gets me going,” he said.

It was clear on Wednesday night that the jeering absolutely got Doncic going. He finished with an insane 31-point triple-double (10 rebounds and 11 assists) to go along with five triples. The Thunder simply had no answer for the 25-year-old, and it appears that all the jeering from the capacity crowd backfired on the team significantly.
Luka was on a mission in Game 5 and he absolutely delivered for the Mavs. Game 6 shifts back to Dallas and Doncic and Co. now have a golden opportunity to close this series out come Saturday.
