The Dallas Mavericks made a blockbuster move the weekend before the NBA trade deadline, shipping off All-NBA guard Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for Anthony Davis, Max Christie, and a draft pick. While Christie has been fantastic, averaging 17.3 points in his six games so far as a Mavericks, Davis has joined a group of other Mavericks bigs on the injury report.
In the Maverick's final game before the All-Star break, they had a rotation without Daniel Gafford, Dereck Lively II, Dwight Powell, P.J. Washington, and Davis. Needing to add more depth at the center position, the Mavericks have reportedly agreed to a deal with a former Los Angeles Clippers center to give them some more size.

According to ESPN Insider Shams Charania, the Mavericks are planning to sign former Clippers center Moses Brown to a 10-day contract. Brown, who played nine games for the Indiana Pacers this season, will have a chance to prove himself at a position of need while Dallas' bigs remain sidelined.
Only 25 years old, but has played for seven teams, Brown saw success with the Clippers back in the 2022-23 season, where he appeared in 34 games, making one start. Brown averaged 4.6 points and 4.1 rebounds during that stretch.

Brown played 26 games in Dallas in 2021 and has since bounced around the NBA and G-League.

Brown spent just one year at UCLA, averaging 9.7 points and 8.3 rebounds as a freshman in 32 games. He'd go on to be undrafted in the 2019 NBA Draft, but has appeared in every season since leaving school.
