The 2024-25 season ended in disappointment for Damian Lillard and the Milwaukee Bucks. The team was eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by their division rivals, the Indiana Pacers.

Lillard’s season took an even more unfortunate turn during Game 4, when he suffered a non-contact injury to his left calf. An MRI later revealed a torn Achilles tendon, sidelining him for Game 5 and casting doubt over his availability for much of the 2025-26 season.

Still, Lillard remains focused on the things he loves. Despite the injury, he’s moving forward with his offseason plans. On Monday, he shared an exciting update on social media:

"My youth camp is coming back to Portland in July. Always one of the highlights of my summer!"

Although Lillard isn’t originally from Portland, the city holds a special place in his career. He was selected sixth overall by the Trail Blazers in the 2012 NBA Draft after a standout college run at Weber State in Utah.

Lillard has earned nine All-Star selections and was named All-Star Game MVP in 2024. He won NBA Rookie of the Year honors in 2013 and has twice claimed the NBA Three-Point Contest title.

His most notable achievement in Milwaukee so far is helping the Bucks win the inaugural NBA Cup in 2024.

As the Bucks look ahead, uncertainty looms. There are growing questions about whether Giannis Antetokounmpo will return next season, and with Lillard’s recovery timeline still unclear, a potential rebuild could be on the horizon.

During the 2024-25 regular season, Lillard played in 58 games and averaged 24.9 points per contest. Known as one of the league’s premier long-range shooters, he shot 37.6 percent from beyond the arc this season and holds a career average of 37.1 percent.

His youth basketball camp will be held in late July for boys and girls ages 6 to 16. While Lillard is expected to take it easy due to his injury, he’ll still be there to inspire and share his knowledge of the game.
