New year, fresh start. Ryan Nembhard said that was the Gonzaga Bulldogs' mantra heading into West Coast Conference play, which followed a topsy-turvy run in nonconference play to start the season.
But through two league games, the Zags (11-4, 2-0 WCC) have already put their past struggles behind them. They shot over 50% from the field and 40% on 3-point attempts in back-to-back blowout wins over Pepperdine and San Diego, a stretch of shooting they hadn't pulled off since early December against USC and Arkansas-Pine Bluff. Prior to league play, Gonzaga had a five-game stretch in which in didn't shoot better than 30% from behind the arc.
