D’Angelo Russell Makes New Statement About Free Agency Plans

In a recent interview with HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto, Russell reaffirmed his commitment to the Nets, responding positively when asked if he wished to stay in Brooklyn.

“Yeah,” Russell said. “Why wouldn’t I? I keep seeing stuff coming out. I’ll tell you. Heck yeah. I want to be wherever I’m at. I’m here. I love these guys. I appreciate this, and I would love to be back.”

Since rejoining the Nets, Russell has struggled to regain his shooting form. He averages 13.8 points and 5.7 assists per game while shooting 38.9 percent from the field and 31.9 percent from beyond the arc.

Despite these challenges, Russell’s leadership and experience remain valuable, especially for a Nets team undergoing a rebuild with a current record of 22-42.
