Darius Garland is nearing his return.

The two-time All-Star guard is targeting Monday night’s game at Golden State to make his debut with the Clippers, according to NBA insider Chris Haynes.

Garland has not played since January 14 because of left toe injury management and a right great toe sprain. He appeared in 26 games with the Cavaliers before being traded to Los Angeles on February 4 in exchange for James Harden.

Toe issues have lingered for Garland since last postseason, when he missed four playoff games, including two home losses to Indiana in the second round.

The Clippers believe the 26-year-old better fits their long-term plans. Garland is under contract through the 2027-28 season and is owed $42.2 million and $44.9 million over the next two years.

A two-time All-Star, Garland is averaging 18.0 points and 6.9 assists in 30.5 minutes this season.

Los Angeles has rebounded to 27-31 and holds a five-game cushion over Memphis for the West’s final play-in spot.
