New Los Angeles Lakers center Damian Jones is just 13-of-43 on three-point attempts in his six-year NBA career. 10 of those makes came last year with the Sacramento Kings. But new Lakers coach Darvin Ham insists that the 26-year-old big man will be a threat from outside in the upcoming season.
Darvin Ham, on his trust in center Damian Jones -- who has only made 13 3-pointers in his six-year career --shooting 3s for the Lakers: "No disrespect Robin, but if I have Robin Lopez making 3s [in MIL], I’m sure I can make Damian Jones to make 3s."

Robin Lopez spent one year with the Milwaukee Bucks, where Ham was an assistant from 2018-22. That season, Lopez put up 105 three-pointers, which more than doubled his career total of 51. Lopez wasn't bad either - he shot 33.3%, only slightly below the league average of 35.8%. His twin brother Brook really let it fly that year, taking 6.3 triples per game. Robin has gone back to his usual infrequent outside shooting since leaving Ham and the Bucks, taking just 24 threes from 2020-22.
Normally the extremely online RoLo would shoot back when disrespected like this, but he's too busy in Cleveland roasting Anthony Davis for looking like a Jim Henson creation.
Every Media Day I hope I'm going to be interviewed by a Muppet wearing a hat, but it's year 15 and the closest I've come is playing with Anthony Davis
