De'Aaron Fox Gives Major Update on Injury Status for Game 5 vs. Warriors
USA TODAY Sports

With an injured finger on his shooting hand, Sacramento Kings star De'Aaron Fox expects to play in Game 5 vs. the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night. Fox has a protective pad on his injured finger that he will wear while on the court.

Participating in a non-contact practice on Tuesday, Fox got shots up and tested out the injured finger. Speaking with reporters at practice, Fox said he expects to play through the injury in Game 5. According to Fox, the biggest thing for him was making sure he could still feel the basketball properly. With the injured finger being on his shooting hand, shooting the basketball was understandably a major concern for Fox; however, he seems to feel good enough to give it a go.

This is a crucial Game 5 matchup between the Warriors and the Kings, as the series is currently tied 2-2. The winner of this game will have an opportunity to close out the series in Game 6, and the Kings certainly do not want to head to San Francisco facing elimination. This has been a special season for the Kings, and Fox is doing all he can to keep it going - even if that means playing through injury.

The Kings and Warriors will play Game 5 at 7:00 PST on Wednesday night.
