An ongoing feud between a pair of Los Angeles street artists has unfortunately put a beautiful mural of the late-great Kobe Bryant in the crosshairs.
A mural depicting the Lakers legend and his daughter Gianna "Gigi" Bryant - both of whom perished in a helicopter crash in 2020 - has been repeatedly vandalized as part of what is believed to be a feud between the mural's artist, Sloe Motions, and a rival.
While the city and even Lakers superstar Luka Doncic have pitched in to help Sloe Motions restore the mural, it was once again vandalized on Tuesday evening.

Doncic donated $5,000 to help Sloe Motions restore the mural several weeks ago. At the time, the artist was supremely grateful and thanked everyone who helped contribute to its restoration on their Instagram page.
"Fully restored Kobe and Gigi mural with graffiti protection all thanks to @lukadoncic and everyone who donated to the go fund me. Its great how a bad situation can bring so many people together to bring something back greater. There was so many people that had showed up to help out and it was highly appreciated. I really felt the LOS ANGELES love on this one," he wrote.
Sadly, the repeated damage to the mural has prompted Sloe Motions to change locations entirely. TMZ reported that Sloe Motions is now seeking a new spot to paint it but he's yet to decide where it will go.
"Unfortunately, now that it's happened again, Sloe Motions says he's looking for a new spot to paint the mural," the outlet reported. "He hasn't yet decided where it'll go."
Sloe Motions' mural was one of countless murals across the world that went up in the aftermath of Kobe's tragic death in 2020.
According to KobeMural.com there are currently over 650 murals depicting the Black Mamba currently up. 345 out of the 468 in the United States are located in Southern California while another 185 murals are spread over 45 countries and six continents.
Kobe Bryant was a global icon and remains one even half a decade after his tragic passing. It's a shame that a beef between artists is ruining one of his many tributes.
