Dejounte Murray Wants A New Trend To Continue

Dejounte Murray of the Atlanta Hawks might be on the verge of a breakout NBA season.

The player just got traded to the Hawks after a few years with the San Antonio Spurs.

Alongside Trae Young and John Collins, Murray may be part of a great comeback season for Atlanta.

Fans of the team sure hope so because the Hawks didn’t perform last season as they did just one year before.

We still have a couple of months before the regular season starts but Murray is keeping busy playing the game he loves so much.

He played with Young and Collins in Jamal Crawford‘s CrawsOver pro-am league this weekend.

And now he’s encouraging others to join him and play in other pro-am games.

“To my NBA brothers, if you healthy and love hooping get out there to these pro am games so these kids and people who can’t afford to see us can see us for free!!!” Murray told his followers on Instagram.

NBA superstars playing in pro-am games is becoming more and more popular as it’s become a trend over the last few weeks.

Murray For The Fans

Murray finished with 39 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists during his appearance in the game on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Young had 37 points and 13 rebounds while Collins put up 27 points and 17 rebounds.

Just one day before, Detroit Pistons rookie Paolo Banchero posted 50 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists in his own pro-am game.

Additionally, Chet Holmgren of the Oklahoma City Thunder put up 34 points, 14 rebounds, and 7 blocks.

Many NBA stars are trying their hand at pro-am games this summer and that’s a cause for celebration among fans.

As Murray said, it’s a way for the faithful followers to see games for free in an environment that is wild, fun, unique, and different from the NBA.
