Amazon Prime Video is continuing to build out its NBA broadcast team ahead of the company’s first season of coverage, adding longtime Hornets analyst Dell Curry, former player and executive Brent Barry, and veteran play-by-play voice Kevin Harlan, according to reports from Front Office Sports and The Athletic.

Curry, the father of four-time MVP Stephen Curry, has been a fixture on Charlotte Hornets broadcasts since 2009. His hiring could be more than just a move to add a seasoned voice — as Front Office Sports’ Michael McCarthy suggests it might be a strategic step toward potentially luring Stephen Curry to the booth once his playing days are over.

Barry, a former NBA champion and executive, most recently served as an assistant coach with the Phoenix Suns under Mike Budenholzer during the 2024–25 season. He also has a solid résumé in broadcasting, having worked as an analyst for Turner Sports and NBA TV from 2013 to 2018.

Harlan, one of the league’s most recognizable voices, will handle play-by-play duties for Amazon after spending more than 30 years calling games for Turner Sports. He’ll continue to call NFL games for CBS Sports while beginning his new NBA duties this fall.

The trio joins an already star-studded Amazon team that reportedly includes analysts Dwyane Wade, Steve Nash, Candace Parker, Blake Griffin, Dirk Nowitzki, Stan Van Gundy, and Udonis Haslem. Taylor Rooks is expected to serve as lead studio host, with Cassidy Hubbarth handling sideline reporting and Ian Eagle and Michael Grady also among the play-by-play talent.

Amazon is entering the first season of its new 11-year national media rights agreement with the NBA. Alongside Disney (ABC/ESPN) and NBC, the company will be one of three national broadcast partners beginning in 2025–26.

A formal announcement of Amazon’s full broadcast team is expected in the coming weeks
