DeMarcus Cousins feels Mavs should trade No. 1 pick for Kevin Durant

Nico Harrison shocked the NBA world when he traded Luka Doncic from the Mavericks to the Lakers, yet the president of basketball operations and general manager still ended up with the No. 1 pick of the NBA Draft.

Dallas could get Cooper Flagg (Duke) or Ace Bailey (Rutgers) to pair alongside Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis.

DeMarcus “Boogie” Cousins, a four-time NBA All-Star, feels using the No. 1 pick on Flagg or Bailey is not the move. He stated on Run It Back via FanDuel Sports that the Mavs should trade the pick for Kevin Durant. Durant, 36, proved throughout this season that he has juice in the tank. Phoenix had a terrible campaign, yet the two-time NBA Champion averaged 26.6 points per game and is a top-10 scorer in league history. Cousins believes Dallas is in win now mode and feels Flagg does not fit that.

“Kevin Durant would not be a bad move there,” Cousins said. “Nico is already on record saying it is a three-year window as far as winning a championship. Cooper Flagg does not fit that window. A Kevin Durant does.”

We saw Harrison pull the plug on Doncic after six years, but does he bring in Durant?

The move will be made soon as the Durant sweepstakes is growing.
