The NBA regular season is nearing a close, and the Denver Nuggets are aiming to solidify themselves as a top-four seed in the Western Conference to earn home-court advantage in the first round of the playoff series.

While the NBA world is hyper-focused on the playoffs being just two weeks away, the 2025 Basketball Hall of Fame class has been announced, and it happens to include a Nuggets legend.

Carmelo Anthony played for the Nuggets for the first eight seasons of his illustrious career, averaging 24.8 points and 6.3 rebounds per game in that span, logging 564 games played (all starts).

The former No. 3 overall pick made the All-Star game in four of the eight seasons in which he suited up in a Denver jersey.

Of course, he was eventually traded to the New York Knicks in a groundbreaking deal, spending seven more seasons in the Big Apple.

Enjoying a lengthy 19-year career -- showing plenty of durability in that time -- Anthony certainly made a massive impact on the world of basketball, regardless of the lack of a championship on his resume.

The ten-time All-Star is forever immortalized in the sport as a Hall of Fame talent.

Nuggets send Carmelo Anthony message

After it was revealed that the former Nuggets superstar would be immortalized in the Hall of Fame, the club offered a message.

"Forever etched in NBA history," the Nuggets shared on X. "Congratulations, Carmelo!"

While Nikola Jokic is wearing the jersey No. 15 -- and helped lead the club to a title while sporting the number -- Anthony had a remarkable tenure in Denver with the same number.

How the club handles his jersey retirement is yet to be seen, but one could assume they will find a way to recognize and honor the franchise legend, as he is now in the Hall of Fame.
