Detroit Pistons Achieve Impressive Team Feat Not Seen Since 2009 After Win Vs. The Detroit Pistons improved to a 29-26 record, good for sixth in the Eastern Conference, following their 128-110 win over the Chicago Bulls last night. This was their second win for the second straight night against Chicago after beating them 132-92 last Tuesday.

After a tied first quarter (32-32), the Detroit Pistons won the next three quarters to secure the road win. It was a balanced effort for JB Bickerstaff’s side, as six players notched double-digit points.

First-time NBA All-Star Cade Cunningham led with 29 points, five rebounds, and seven assists on 9-for-19 from the field and 9-for-10 from the free throw line. Ausar Thompson, Tobias Harris, Jalen Duren, Malik Beasley , and Isaiah Stewart added 19, 19, 16, 14, and 12 points.

The Detroit Pistons shot 51.1 percent from the field and 40.0 percent from the free throw line compared to Chicago’s 43.0 percent from the field and 22.0 percent from the free throw line.

Detroit Pistons achieve winning record before the NBA All-Star break

By notching a 29-26 record, the Detroit Pistons are heading into the NBA All-Star break above .500 for the first time since 2009. They have already doubled their win total from last season.

Cade Cunningham has been rewarded with an NBA All-Star selection for being the catalyst of the Detroit Pistons’ rise. The former No. 1 overall pick averages 25.4 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 9.4 assists on 45.5 percent shooting from the field this season.

Detroit have won six of their last eight games and will open their two-game road trip against the San Antonio Spurs on February 21.
