The Detroit Pistons were one of the better stories in the NBA this season.
For a franchise that's had so much history and contribution to the league, they had dealt with a long playoff draught, even longer since they had won a playoff game.
But the Pistons improved by 30 wins after finishing last in the Eastern Conference a season ago.
Detroit made the NBA Playoffs as the No. 6 seed, but fell to the New York Knicks. However, they gave the Knicks a run for their money and often had the lead late in those ballgames.
General Manager Trajan Lagdon was active in his first season in the position and was a crucial part of Detroit's turnaround.
As a result, Langdon was named a finalist for the NBA's Executive of the Year, but was not named the winner.
Langdon held a press conference Wednesday morning and spoke on the possibility of getting some of his young players contract extensions, including guard Jaden Ivey and center Jalen Duren.
According to his comments, he's in no rush in what will likely be a busy summer.
"That's TBD right now," Langdon said. "I'm sure talks will be had this summer, but we have a long time to make that decision."
Asked Trajan about Ivey and Duren becoming extension-eligible this offseason: "That’s TBD right now. I’m sure talks will be had in the summer, but we have a long time to make that decision."

Ivey was limited to just 30 games this season after he went down with a broken left fibula on January 1. Before the injury, Ivey averaged 17.6 points per game with 4.1 rebounds and 4.0 assists.
Duren was crucial to the Pistons' success, averaging 11.8 points and 10.3 rebounds per game.
The Pistons will now go into the summer hoping to build upon their success this season and do everything possible to avoid becoming a one-year wonder.
