According to NBA insider Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic, Devin Booker is expected to sign a two-year, $150 million extension with the Phoenix Suns.
Booker has spent his entire career with the Suns.
One of the top scorers in the NBA, Booker played in 75 games last season. He averaged 25.6 points, 4.1 rebounds and 7.1 assists while shooting 46.1% from the field, 33.2% from beyond the arc and 89.4% from the free-throw line.
A four-time All-Star, Booker has scored the most points in Phoenix franchise history. He has career averages of 24.4 points, 4.0 rebounds and 5.2 assists.
The Suns lost to the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2021 NBA Finals. They haven’t had much postseason success since then.
Booker was the 13th overall pick in the 2015 draft. He scored 70 points against the Boston Celtics in Boston during the 2016-17 season.
The Suns traded Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets for Dillon Brooks, Jalen Green, the 10th pick in this year’s NBA Draft and five second-round picks.
Phoenix and Bradley Beal are expected to agree to a buyout soon.
