Did Draymond Green's criticism fire up Grant Williams?

Draymond Green criticized Grant Williams on his podcast this week. Williams responded with a huge Game 4.

Williams had 14 points off the bench for Boston, including four three-pointers and was a difference-maker on defense with a block and a steal. This served as a quite an answer to Green, who took issue with Williams provoking Jimmy Butler in Game 2.

"Grant Williams started talking crazy to Jimmy Butler," Green said on "The Draymond Green Show." "Grant Williams then got destroyed by Jimmy Butler."

Williams jawed with Butler in Game 2, and Butler and the Heat responded with a game-sealing 20-9 run.

Green also took issue with Williams' teammates. He called out Al Horford for "sneakily talking s---" and criticized Jaylen Brown for not having Williams back when asked about him "poking the bear" with Butler.

Williams got more flak, but Horford also fired up Butler, who mocked Horford's own "timeout" celebration in Miami's Game 3 blowout win.

Clearly, Green is an expert in on-court antics and provoking opposing players, so he knows where Williams is coming from. The two players got into it a few times in last year's NBA Finals.

After the series, it was all love between the two. Clearly, game recognizes game, and trolling recognizes trolling.

While the two players clearly understand one another, Green's trash talk from the podcasting arena may have "poked the bear" with Williams, just like Williams did with Butler.
