Milwaukee Bucks star Damian Lillard’s sister Lanae reacted movingly to his brother’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The game saw the 80th birthday of Lillard’s grandmother, but he couldn’t join the celebration. Instead, he showed his love through a fiery performance.
The game against the Cavaliers saw Damian Lillard achieve 41 points and 54.1% field goals, nine assists, and four rebounds. Despite Lillard consistently averaging in his stats, the match mainly saw him having the highest points and assists throughout the games.
On her Instagram account, Lanae shared a post in her story showing her big brother’s strong match against the Cavaliers. She then captioned: “Did it for granny.” Regarding their grandmother, Damian Lillard also posted several pictures of him with his grandmother, with a caption:
“The greatest grandmother in the world turned 80 today. My entire family is in Oakland celebrating her and I couldn’t be there (
️) … but I want to wish my girl a very special happy birthday! [8] [0],” Lillard said.
Lillard and the Bucks are in a precarious position in the Eastern Conference, suffering from a six-game losing streak. Their rematch against the Cavaliers following a close 113-114 match ended up with the same fate of losing to the Ohio-based team, 114-116.
Damian Lillard continues to contribute significantly to his team despite their unfortunate run. He averages 26.2 points, 6.7 assists, and 5.0 rebounds. He and his team need to bounce back from their cold start immediately as the following games approach.
Damian Lillard continues to be not increasingly alarmed despite the six-game losing streak this season. Despite his team’s standing in the conference, Lillard even shared a motivating message.
The Bucks point guard shared a post in his Instagram story saying: “You gotta know how raw u are without a congratulation, celebration, or validation.” He then added a caption saying: “This the separator.”
Damian Lillard and the Bucks are currently 1-6. They emerged victorious in their opening night, only to follow a losing streak that continues to persist. Additionally, Lillard’s dynamic with star teammate Giannis Antetokounmpo has yet to reach its maximum potential, which prevents them from achieving breakthroughs on the court.
However, Damian Lillard clarified that he and Giannis Antetokounmpo share a common goal of emerging victories and taking responsibility for their team’s eventual results as the season approaches. The two would attempt to break their team’s cold run again in their next game against the Utah Jazz on November 8.
