Phoenix Suns forward Dillon Brooks has been suspended once again by the NBA.
On Wednesday, Brooks received a technical foul in the Suns’ 136-109 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder atthe Mortgage Matchup Center in Phoenix, Ariz. That marked Brooks’ 16th technical of the season, and the NBA announced an automatic one-game suspension for the Suns forward.

Brooks seems to be called for technicals and flagrant fouls over and over again throughout his NBA career, including being issued a flagrant in January after striking Brooklyn Nets big man Nic Claxton.
In the 2024-25 season, Brooks also received a one-game suspension for reaching 16 technical fouls, although that time it didn’t happen until April. Brooks was also suspended one game for the same reason during the 2022-23 regular season.
Per the NBA rules, every additional two technical fouls will result in a one-game suspension.
Recently, Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic said Brooks was the biggest trash talker in the league, but Doncic admitted he loves playing against Brooks.
Brooks has been a huge part of the Suns’ success this year. He is second on the team in scoring with 21.2 points per game, and only Devin Booker is ahead of him with 25.2 PPG.
The Suns face the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, and Brooks will serve his suspension right before the NBA All-Star break.
