The Cleveland Cavaliers kicked off their conference semifinals series against the Detroit Pistons with a rough start, dropping the first two games. However, they turned things around in Game 3 and truly unleashed their potential in Game 4, thanks to the stellar performance of Donovan Mitchell.

Mitchell, who recently stunned his teammates with an unexpected move, showcased his skills in Game 3 with a double-double, racking up 35 points and 10 rebounds. But it was in Game 4 where he truly shined, scoring an impressive 43 points and leading the Cavaliers to a 112-103 victory.

Donovan Mitchell on Returning to Detroit for Game 5

Mitchell not only propelled the Cavaliers to a tied series but also made headlines with an outstanding performance. He scored 39 points in the second half, tying the record for the most points in any playoff half in NBA history, a feat previously achieved by Sleepy Floyd in 1987. With all eyes on Game 5, which could be a game-changer in the series, Mitchell reflected on returning to Detroit with the series tied.

“We’re tied 2-2 heading to Detroit. That’s what we came home to do, and that’s all that matters. It’s going to take everything in Game 5. We understand it’s a hostile environment, and we need each other. We’ve had two good games to build off of. It’s going to be a lot of fun, and I know we’re ready for the challenge.” Mitchell said during the recent press conference.
