Donovan Mitchell Owns Up To Poor Game 4 Performance Against The Knicks

Donovan Mitchell averaged a career-high 28.3 points per game in the regular season and even scored a historic 71 points in early January. It seemed almost impossible that he could be held to just one basket in a half.

However, that's exactly what happened in Game 4 as the Cleveland Cavaliers are now down 3-1 in their series with the New York Knicks. They'll have to make a historic comeback if they want to move to the second round.

It's hard to not look at Cleveland's loss and see how much Mitchell struggled. He scored nine points in the first half but was held to just two points while shooting 1-for-9 in the second half.

Mitchell didn't try to hide his poor performance after the game. He said, "

"I had probably the second or third worst game of my career. I didn't show up for my guys. Everybody did their job. We had some faults as a group, but ultimately, I didn't do what I was supposed to do and I take that and I just got to be better."

Mitchell did seem confident that his team and himself would be ready for Game 5 in Cleveland. The Cavs are going to need much more from Spida on Wednesday as the Cavaliers come home facing elimination.
