Donte DiVincenzo Sends Frustrated Message After Wolves' Loss to Bucks

The Minnesota Timberwolves had their 47th win of the season wrapped up through three quarters before it happened.

Squandering a 24-point lead, the Wolves went cold in the fourth quarter and turned the ball over nine times, leading to a 110-103 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday, April 8.

It was a complete collapse for a team that had seemingly found its form heading down the final stretch of the season and is firmly entrenched in a tight Western Conference playoff race.

Looking ahead from Tuesday's loss, Donte DiVincenzo, who had 24 points, offered a pulse of the feelings in the locker room.

"Everybody in here is pissed off," DiVincenzo said, per The Athletic's Jon Krawczynski. "But just regroup and come back because we know we have a huge game on Thursday.

"Before this game we won (five) in a row, played good basketball for three quarters. We have to acknowledge what happened, but don’t let the world blow up just because of this. We have to respond on Thursday."

Thursday marks a matchup with the Memphis Grizzlies (47-32), one of the six teams that sit between No. 3 and No. 8 in the conference which are separated by just two games.

Despite the firing of coach Taylor Jenkins, the Grizzlies have won their past two games entering their matchup with the Timberwolves.

While the rivalry has worn off with the departures of Dillon Brooks and Karl-Anthony Towns, the two teams who met in the Western Conference playoffs three years ago are well aware of the stakes on Thursday in a game that will decide whether they are a playoff- or a play-in team.
