Draymond Green admits Paul Pierce’s Celtics Big 3 paved the way for LeBron James, Steph Curry, and others to create super teams

Draymond Green played host to the Boston Celtics legend Paul Pierce recently on his YouTube channel, “ The Draymond Green Show. ” Their conversation was about how the Boston Celtics created the first NBA superteam, which has been mirrored by other teams. 

The Boston Celtics, led by team captain Paul Pierce, assembled a team that included Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen , which led to an NBA championship. A move that influenced the Miami Heat and Golden State Warriors’ decision to acquire LeBron James and Kevin Durant.

Pierce started the conversation rolling when he inquired from Green if it was his team that conquered the league in 2008, were the pioneer of the superteams we see today in the NBA. Green affirmed that it was.

The Celtics’ influence and blueprint have been the catalyst for teams in the league, as their success demonstrated its effectiveness.

Currently, the Dallas Mavericks have Luka Doncic, who is leading the league in points scored this season and Kyrie Irving, as well as the Minnesota Timberwolves, have Anthony Edwards, a potential MVP, and Karl Anthony Towns. Proving that if you can’t beat them, join them.

Draymond Green wants to play for 2-3 years

Draymond Green is now a veteran in the league and with possible retirement in sight he has refused to disclose when exactly he plans on hanging his sneakers. Although, he said he plans on playing for two to three more seasons.

Green disclosed this while speaking with Paul Pierce on his YouTube channel.

Draymond Green, besides his disciplinary issues, has had a successful career. Winning the league four times with the Dubs. Furthermore, he is a four-time All-Star as well as the 2016-17 Defensive Player of the Year. When he chooses to retire, he will be fondly remembered as a true WARRIOR.
