Draymond Green explains why LeBron is the G.O.A.T

Draymond Green is one of the most impactful NBA champions of his generation.

Because of that, he is uniquely qualified to speak on league lore and all-time rankings in a way few others can.

That is precisely what he ended up doing this week.

During a recent ‘Uninterrupted’ appearance, Green broke down in detail his top five all-time. In the process, he also settled the never-ending Michael Jordan vs. LeBron James debate once and for all.

“My top 5 is LJ 1, MJ 2, Kobe 3, Steph 4, Shaq 5,” Green argued.

“By 2005, LeBron was the best player in the NBA. In 2020, he was still the best player in the NBA. He was the best player in the NBA no matter what the game did.

“The game went from two slugs like slow big men to a stretch four big man, to like back to two big man to like no big man – and he’s been the best no matter what.”

It’s hard to argue with Green’s assessment.

Whether he is revealing his all-time starting five, getting blunt about his current relationship with Jordan Poole or naming and shaming “out of shape” NBA players – Green always keeps it real.

This was no exception.

A lot of folks have weighed in on the LeBron vs MJ debate. Dr. J. has done it. Ray Allen has done it. The list goes on and on.

Green is just the latest.

There is no right answer here, just a lot of varying opinions.

How will the general public rank James’ career by the time he finally calls it quits? Will they too rank him above Jordan?

Time will tell.
