The New York Knicks fell to the Detroit Pistons in a hard-fought Game 2 on Monday Night. The two teams will now head to Detroit with the series tied at one game apiece.

One player that stood out in their Game 1 victory was Karl-Anthony Towns. In 39 minutes, he shot 10-for-14 from the field for 23 points. He added 11 rebounds and five assists.

Towns was also a menace on the defensive side of the ball, finishing with four steals and two blocks.

Draymond Green impressed with Karl-Anthony Towns

Considering the spat, beef, whatever you want to call it, fans might think Draymond Green would be the last person to give Towns credit.

"His attitude was great and I’m taking credit for that," Green said on the Draymond Show. "KAT has been a different person since our debacle."

The two had a brief feud when it was announced that Towns would miss the Knicks' game against the Golden State Warriors. Green accused Towns of ducking Jimmy Butler, his former Minnesota Timberwolves teammate.

By the time the reason for Towns' absence was made public, the damage had been done and Green's accusation was already out there.

The truth was far from a laughing matter. It turns out, Towns had lost a close friend, Sarah Holtzman, to breast cancer.

While Green was sympathetic toward the Knicks' big man, he didn't exactly apologize.

“Oh, man, that’s unfortunate. I’m sorry to hear that. That sucks,” said Green.

Towns' Game 2 performance wasn't nearly as impressive as it was in Game 1.

He scored just 10 points, grabbed six rebounds and had one block in just 33 minutes. He was battling foul trouble most of the game and finished with four.

It was a shocking turnaround, as it was the first game against the Pistons this season in which he failed to record a double-double.

The Knicks will look to take the series lead when the two meet for Game 3 on Thursday.
