Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green had an interesting moment with New York Knicks coach Mike Brown. The Warriors and Knicks played their first meeting of the season at Chase Center on Thursday. While the game was stopped for a free throw, Green was seen arguing with a referee.

Green and the Warriors are coming off a 119-97 win against the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday. With 10 points and seven rebounds, the NBA star had a decent performance and was active on both ends. The big man also had two steals and two blocks.

Against the second-best team in the Eastern Conference, the Warriors are looking to add another win to their record.

With 36.3 seconds left in the second quarter, Karl-Anthony Towns was knocking down free throws after a foul from Green. The forward was talking to the referee during the game stoppage, and his attitude shifted when he saw Brown.

The four-time NBA champion approached the coach and hugged him.

Brown served as Steve Kerr's assistant with the Warriors from 2016 to 2022 before taking over as head coach of the Knicks. He served as an acting head coach when Kerr dealt with chronic back pain during the 2016-17 season. He led Golden State to a 12-0 record in the 2017 playoffs.

Brown once again became the Warriors' acting head coach when Kerr tested positive for COVID-19 during the 2022 Western Conference finals. He won three championships with the team before leaving the franchise to be the head coach of the Sacramento Kings.
