Dwight Howard is part of the 2025 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame class. He averaged 15.7 points, 11.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.9 steals and 1.8 blocks.
Howard made eight All-Star teams, eight All-NBA teams and five All-Defensive teams. He won three Defensive Player of the Year Awards and the 2020 championship with the Lakers at the Walt Disney World bubble.
The 39-year-old Howard can now call himself one of the best players in NBA history since he's in the Hall of Fame and Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green is happy for the Atlanta native.
"And so to see Dwight get his due now, I hope it’s fulfilling for him because man did he earn it," Green said on his podcast with former NBA guard Baron Davis. "And he deserves to be celebrated. I think a lot of people have tried to throw dirt on Dwight’s name like Dwight wasn’t him.
"And I hate that. You know what I’m saying? I don’t like that. A lot of people done threw a lot of dirt on Dwight’s name and I don’t like it. So to see him get his due, I’m extremely happy for Dwight. Well-deserved."
Green, who has won four championships and one Defensive Player of the Year Award with the Warriors, could be in the Hall of Fame one day.
He has a Hall of Fame probability of 76.8% on Basketball Reference.
