Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has shown through the years that he can dish plenty of insults. The more interesting question is whether he can take them in stride.
Right now, the answer seems to be no.
Filling in for Shaquille O'Neal on Inside the NBA last night, Green and Charles Barkley exchanged some barbs prior to Game 2 of the 76ers-Knicks series. When Barkley joked that the Warriors are no longer title contenders, Green said that at least he isn't like Barkley was with the Houston Rockets.
“I think the goal is just to not look like you in the Houston Rockets uniform... is ultimately the goal for us," Green said.
While Green might have thought he really nailed Barkley with that insult, Barkley, Ernie Johnson and Kenny Smith were not amused. Johnson ultimately put Green in his place later in the evening.
While discussing James Harden's turnovers, Johnson noted that Green has had 43 games with more turnovers than field goals in the playoffs, tied with Kendrick Perkins for the most of that stat since 2003.
“Underdog has put the period on this discussion with this,” Johnson said. “Draymond, you’ve had 43 of those games with more turnovers than field goals. That is tied for the most since 2003.”

Green was crestfallen by the revelation and pushed back against Johnson for noting that, telling him, "You didn’t have to go that far."
Basketball fans appreciated Johnson and Underdog stats for helping Barkley get one over on Green:
"Ernie’s a real one. Come for his partner and he’s going to bomb back," one user declared.
"Salute to underdog for getting Charles back lmao," wrote another.
"Draymond Green calling out anyone's playing career is nuts. He is a watered down version of Dennis Rodman (Rodman was a better rebounder and defender) with slightly better offensive skills. Warriors would have won titles without him. He can talk analytics all he wants but if dude played for the Hornets or Nets his whole career he'd be an absolute nobody. Very poor taste calling Barkley our like that," a third remarked.
The moral of the story is, don't throw stones from a glass house.
