Draymond Green shared a long embrace with Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr and teammate Steph Curry after the team was eliminated from the NBA playoffs, actions that some speculated could hold a deeper significance.
Green and the Warriors struggled after Curry went down with a hamstring injury earlier in the series, falling to the Minnesota Timberwolves in five games. The Warriors fell flat in Wednesday's season-ending game, losing 121-110.
The loss ended a season that took on elevated hopes after the midseason acquisition of Jimmy Butler. The Warriors earned the No. 7 overall seed and took down the No. 2-seeded Houston Rockets in the first round, but couldn't overcome the Timberwolves after Curry's injury.

The Warriors now face an uncertain future, with some fans speculating that Green's embrace of Kerr and Curry could signal the end of his long tenure in Golden State. Many predicted that the Warriors would move on after this season, especially amid Green's struggles with composure on the court.
"That embrace between Draymond, Steph, and Kerr felt like a curtain call," a fan wrote in a post on X. "No denying what they accomplished together but at some point, legacy can’t outweigh results."
"Is this his last game in a warriors jersey?" wrote one fan on X.
Others called on the Warriors to cut ties with Green.
"Can they trade him tonight?" another fan shared in a post on X.
The longtime NBA veteran has not announced any immediate plans to retire. In an appearance on Jeff Teague's "Club 520" podcast before this season, Green predicted he would have two more seasons in the league.
"I'm on the wrong side of my down slide," Green said. "Like, I'm headed into Year 13. I probably got two more (seasons)."
