Dwight Howard invites playoff losers to come lose in Taiwan

Dwight Howard called out NBA players who underperformed in the playoffs and invited them to come to underperform in Taiwan.

In his self-appointed role as ambassador for professional basketball in Taiwan, Howard took to video to recruit other NBA players to the league - and make fun of playoff losers.

Howard singled out Jordan Poole, Julius Randle, Klay Thompson, Phoenix Suns Deandre Ayton, Kevin Durant and Chris Paul, plus his old teammate-turned-nemesis James Harden. It sounds as if Howard can't tolerate losing.

Except on his own Taiwanese team, the Taoyuan Leopards, who went 6-24 last season. Howard averaged 23.2 points and 16.2 rebounds for the Leopards, but the gaudy stats didn't translate to victories, perhaps in part due to Howard's four turnovers per game.

He's been continuing his "Play in Taiwan" bit during the postseason. which is better than his old recurring joke: Farting all the time. When Orlando traded Howard in 2012, teammate Glen Davis said, "The thing we're going to miss most about Dwight is his farting ability."

Howard is having quite a year. He appeared on the reality show "Special Forces: World's Toughest Test", where Howard got lectured by former military men, who at one point asked, "How did Dwight Howard go from the NBA’s big man of the future to one of the most disliked players?" Howard was disqualified during the final interrogation challenge.

He continued his long-running feud with Shaquille O'Neal, who repeatedly mocked Howard's career in Taiwan and his last-place team's poor record.

This week, he apologized for calling Taiwan a country, presumably at the behest of his shoe sponsor, China's Peak, who makes Howard's signature sneaker.

What's next for Howard? Clearly, anything that will get him the attention he desperately craves.
