Eastern Conference Recaps, March 3: Kyle Kuzma Opens With a Personal 10-0 Run On The Way To 30 Points In Wizards Victory

The Washington Wizards’ 119-108 victory against the Toronto Raptors moved them within percentage points of ninth place in the Eastern Conference standings. Kyle Kuzma led the way with 30 points, 10 of them being the first points for the Wizards. O.G. Anunoby led the Raptors with 26 points.

OTHER NOTES:

Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic became the first Dallas Mavericks teammates to score at least 40 points in the same game. Doncic finished with 42 points and 12 assists and Irving had 40 points to lead the Mavericks to a 133-126 victory against the Philadelphia 76ers.

“Luka was ready for the party,” Irving said. “I was ready for the party tonight. It was one of those games where we had some special performances. I’m just grateful that the work translated because it could have gone either way.”

Joel Embiid led the 76ers with 35 points and James Harden had 27 points and 13 assists.

-With San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich absent due to an illness, assistant head coach Mitch Johnson led them to a 110-99 victory against the Indiana Pacers. Rookie Jeremy Sochan led the way with 22 points and 13 rebounds. Buddy Hield scored 27 points for the Pacers.
