Free agency in the NBA began on Monday, and there has already been a flurry of moves that have taken place in the first two days.
The Milwaukee Bucks have been one team that's been making adjustments to their roster in attempts to keep superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo satisfied with the roster they put together.
Milwaukee has started free agency off with a bang and has decided to part ways with All-Star point guard Damian Lillard.
The Bucks waived Lillard from the team on Tuesday morning, but will still be responsible for the $119 million remaining on his five-year contract, despite him no longer being with the team.
While all of this has taken place in a short amount of time, Lillard will look to land on a new team while recovering from the ruptured Achilles tendon he sustained in late April.
His timetable to return remains uncertain, possibly having to sit out the entire 2025-26 season, but given his superstar status, Lillard will draw interest from a lot of teams.
According to reports, one team that has an interest in the seven-time All-Star is the Miami Heat.
NBA writer Tim Reynolds believes Miami could pursue Lillard, saying, "The Heat -- this is no surprise -- are expected to have interest in Damian Lillard, who very surprisingly now holds a lot of cards he didn't expect to hold."

Miami has been interested in bringing in another star player to play along with Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo.
After missing out on the Kevin Durant sweepstakes and trading away Jimmy Butler last season, the Heat are still pushing to keep their championship-contending hopes alive.
It's uncertain whether or not Damian Lillard will be interested in joining the Miami Heat this offseason, but they will be on team to monitor as Damian Lillard hits free agency.
