Elite 3-Point Shooter Is Still An NBA Free Agent
USA TODAY Sports

Joe Harris has played in 16 games this season (for the Detroit Pistons), but he was waived earlier this month.

He did not get claimed, so he is now an unrestricted free agent who is available to be signed by any team in the league.

Harris had only been averaging 2.4 points per contest in a limited role, but just a few years ago, he was among the best role players in the league.

Harris was the 33rd pick in the 2014 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers and played in 56 games for the franchise over part of two seasons.

Early on, he looked like he would have a short NBA career.

That said, Harris joined the Brooklyn Nets in 2016-17 and became one of the best shooters in the league.

During the 2021 season, the 32-year-old averaged an impressive 14.1 points per contest while shooting 50.5% from the field and 47.5% from the three-point range in 69 games (65 starts).
