Erik Stevenson Participating in NBA Summer League

Stevenson wrapped up his final year of eligibility at West Virginia during the 2022-23 season, helping the Mountaineers return to the NCAA Tournament in March. Stevenson averaged 15.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.5 assists on 43 percent shooting from the field. The fifth-year senior played his best towards the end of the year, recording five straight 20-point-plus games at the end of February.

Stevenson went on to play in the NBA Summer League last year with the San Antonio Spurs. The Lacey, Wa. native averaged over 10 points through 46 NBA G-League games with the Spurs and the Texas Legends. Stevenson also played in France for four games during the spring.

Other Mountaineers that are playing in the summer league include Jesse Edwards (Timberwolves), RaeQuan Battle (Hornets), Jalen Bridges (Suns), Tre Mitchell (Thunder), Emmitt Matthews Jr. (Hawks) and Gabe Osabuohien (Cavaliers). Edwards and Bridges signed two-way deals following the NBA draft in June.

Stevenson and the Wizards play their first game on Friday at 9:30 p.m. vs. the Atlanta Hawks.
