ESPN Insider Suggests Big Pacers Move After Tyrese Haliburton Injury

The Indiana Pacers put together one of the most impressive postseason runs the NBA has ever seen this year. Sadly, they came up one win short of a championship.

Not only did the Pacers lose to the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 7 on Sunday evening, they also suffered a major tragedy. Tyrese Haliburton, their franchise player and star point guard, went down with a torn Achilles in the first quarter.

Haliburton had been playing through a strained calf that he suffered earlier in the series. He was able to play in Game 6 and avoid injury, but will now likely miss all of next season due to the injury.

Following the injury, there are a lot of questions for Indiana to answer. What kind of moves does the team make this offseason with Haliburton out next year?

ESPN insider Brian Windhorst has suggested that the Pacers could make some noise.

During an appearance on "Get Up" on Tuesday, Windhorst sent a short and sweet message warning fans to keep an eye on Indiana as a team who could make a move.

"Keep a very close eye on Indiana," he said.

One of the biggest questions surrounding the Pacers this offseason has to do with the future of center Myles Turner. He is a free agent and was scheduled to be paid somewhere around $30 million per season. With Haliburton out, could Indiana opt to go in a different direction?

There are other players who could be moved as well if Indiana decided to re-tool with a focus on the 2026-27 NBA season as opposed to the 2025-26 campaign.

With the 2025 NBA draft set to begin on Wednesday night and free agency coming soon, the Pacers' direction will be made clear in the near future.
