Game 4 between the New York Knicks and Boston Celtics was a competitive one on Monday night as the Knicks were able to pick up a hard-fought victory.
New York got off to a slow start to the game as they once again faced a deficit heading into the second half but they were able to overcome it to grab the 121-113 victory.
Tuesday’s game also featured incredible performances from the team’ two star players as both Jalen Brunson and Jayson Tatum went blow-for-blow on the offensive end.
Brunson finished the game with 39 points, five rebounds and 12 assists while Tatum recorded 42 points, eight rebounds, four assists and four steals of his own.
Of course, Tatum’s night ended terribly after he suffered a torn right Achilles near the end of the fourth quarter that will now sidelined him for the remainder of the playoffs and most of next season.

With the victory, the Knicks now take a 3-1 lead in the series and they will have a chance to eliminate the Celtics in Boston on Wednesday night in Game 5.
After Monday’s highly competitive Game 4 between the Knicks and Celtics, ESPN made a major announcement.
ESPN announced that Monday’s Game 4 between the Knicks and Celtics peaked at 8.54 million viewers and had an average of 6.13 million viewers.

They also announced that it was a 50% increase from last season’s comparable game and it was also the most-watched program of the day across television.
This is a massive feat for both teams along with ESPN as fans continue to tune in at a high level for the NBA playoffs, which is a great sign after the NBA’s decreased viewership earlier in the season.
Now the series shifts back to Boston for Game 5 on Wednesday night as the Knicks try to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals and eliminate the defending champions.
