ESPN Projects Kyshawn George To Toronto In Latest Mock Draft
Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

The 2024 NBA Draft is set for June 26 and 27 as mock drafts continue to roll out.

After the Toronto Raptors missed out on a top-six pick in the draft lottery, they now have their sights set on the No. 19 and No. 31 picks of this year’s draft.

The Raptors are in a rebuild so it will be crucial for them to hit on these picks as they look to find some hidden gems in what’s considered to be a weak draft class.

One of the biggest needs the Raptors have is shooting. Particularly from three-point range. The Raptors were one of the worst three-point shooting teams in the league. That will certainly be a priority for them as they look to add players who can space the floor around Scottie Barnes.

With the 19th pick of the 2024 NBA Draft, Jonathan Givony of ESPN has the Raptors adding some shooting help with Kyshawn George out of Miami:

“The Raptors were one of the worst 3-point shooting teams in the NBA last year both in terms of 3-point makes and accuracy and will need to continue to surround Scottie Barnes with enough floor spacing to keep opposing defenses honest. George is the type of oversized, long-armed wing this front office often covets, making 41% of his attempts at Miami and still having plenty of upside to grow into thanks to his feel for the game, playmaking and the unique developmental trajectory he’s on, having grown nine inches in the past five years.”

This would be a nice pick for the Raptors. George’s impressive growth spurt gives him great size at the position and he would definitely help the Raptors’ shooting woes.

Then at No. 31, Givony has Toronto taking Ryan Dunn out of Virginia. Dunn is a lockdown defender. He has great size at 6’8″ with excellent athleticism which allows him to guard forwards, wings and guards.

Latest mock draft from Bleacher Report has Zach Edey to Toronto

The Raptors can go in many different directions with their No. 19 pick.

In Bleacher Report’s latest mock draft they have Canadian Edey falling to Toronto at that spot.
