Fan Attendance to Increase Once Again as Utah Jazz Prepare for Playoffs

The Utah Jazz have decided to increase fan attendance once again, as it was announced that 6,700 fans will be able to pack the stands at Vivint Smart Home Arena beginning on May 1. Another improvement with the latest version of fan attendance is that a limited number of courtside seats will be available for those who can prove full vaccination and pass a rapid COVID 19 test.

The latest increase would allow for Vivint Smart Home Arena to be filled to just over 37% capacity in it's 18,306 seat stadium. News of the increase came by way of the Utah Jazz PR team and quickly dispersed throughout Jazz nation by way of tweets from the team's beat writers.

Since March 12, the Utah Jazz had been allowing up to 5,600 fans into the arena for home games. Previously to that, the Jazz had begun the season with 1,500 fans before upping the attendance to 3,902 on February 1, 2021.

Jazz fans can begin filling the arena to it's new capacity as of tomorrow's game against the Toronto Raptors. Tickets to the May 1 matchup can be found here.

According to the "Return to the Arena" page on the Utah Jazz official website, fans in attendance must still pass a health screening before entering the arena, wear a mask, sit 6-feet apart, and use digital tickets. Purses and bags will not be allowed inside the arena.
