USA TODAY Sports

On Monday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers hosted the Oklahoma City Thunder in California.

During a timeout, a fan ran up to LeBron James and made contact with him (h/t NBACentral and X user @Fernadad1).

ClutchPoints added more details on the incident.

Via ClutchPoints: "A fan at tonight’s Lakers-Thunder game was kicked out after running up to LeBron James on the bench and putting his arms around him.

The fan was kicked out, and James was seen visibly upset."

Despite the incident, the Lakers got the victory, and James had a good performance, putting up 25 points, seven rebounds and six assists while shooting 12/20 from the field and 1/2 from the three-point range in 39 minutes of playing time.

With the victory, the Lakers now have a 20-21 record in their first 41 games, which has them as the tenth seed in the Western Conference.

They are 14-7 in 21 games at home and will host the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday evening in Los Angeles.

James is averaging 24.7 points, 7.2 rebounds, 7.5 assists and 1.4 steals per contest while shooting 52.4% from the field and 39.0% from the three-point range in 37 games.

He will likely make his 20th straight NBA All-Star Game next month.

As for the Thunder, they dropped to 27-12 in their first 39 games but still remain as the second seed in the Western Conference.
