The Chicago Bulls are on the road on Monday night as they travel to take on the San Antonio Spurs in an interconference matchup.
Chicago enters Monday’s game with a 29-45 record after losing on the road to the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday night.
In Saturday’s loss to the Grizzlies, Matas Buzelis led the way for the Bulls as he recorded 29 points, 10 rebounds and three assists while Collin Sexton added 26 points and two rebounds of his own off the bench.
Now Chicago will try to bounce back on Monday as they face off against the Spurs in a tough road matchup.
On the other side, San Antonio enters Monday’s contest with a 56-18 record after defeating the Milwaukee Bucks on the road in dominant fashion on Saturday afternoon.
Stephon Castle led the way for the Spurs in Saturday’s victory as he ended the game with 22 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists while Victor Wembanyama recorded 23 points, 15 rebounds and six assists.
While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Monday night’s matchup, one side may be without multiple key players due to injuries.
For the Bulls, they have seven players listed on their injury report , including both Anfernee Simons and Nick Richards.
Chicago has ruled out Simons due to a fractured left wrist that has kept him out since Feb. 22 and with him sidelined once again, Tre Jones and Sexton could both continue to have increased roles.
The Bulls have also ruled out Jaden Ivey, Zach Collins, Jalen Smith and Noa Essengue as they are all set to miss the remainder of the season.
Richards has been listed as questionable due to a right elbow sprain and he is in danger of missing his third straight game while Guerschon Yabusele is questionable with an ankle injury.
On the other side, the Spurs enter Monday’s contest with a clean injury report as they have nobody listed on it.
