
The New York Knicks are on the road on Thursday night as they travel to take on the Charlotte Hornets in an Eastern Conference showdown.
New York enters Thursday’s game with a 48-25 record after defeating the New Orleans Pelicans at home on Tuesday night.
In Tuesday’s victory over the Pelicans, Jalen Brunson led the way for the Knicks as he recorded 32 points, and seven assists while Karl-Anthony Towns added 21 points and 14 rebounds of his own.
Now New York will try to grab another victory on Thursday as they face off against the Hornets in a tough road matchup.
On the other side, Charlotte enters Thursday’s contest with a 38-34 record after defeating the Sacramento Kings at home in dominant fashion on Tuesday night.
Coby White led the way for the Hornets in Tuesday’s victory as he ended the game with 27 points and five rebounds off the bench while LaMelo Ball recorded 20 points, six rebounds and eight assists.
While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Thursday night’s matchup, both squads may be without multiple key players due to injuries.
For the Knicks, they have two players listed on their injury report as they have ruled out both Landry Shamet and Miles McBride.
New York has ruled out Shamet due to a tibial plateau contusion in his right knee as he will miss his third consecutive contest.

With Shamet sidelined once again, Jose Alvarado and Jordan Clarkson could both continue to have larger roles.
The Knicks have also ruled out McBride as he remains sidelined while recovering from core muscle surgery.
On the other side, the Hornets have two players listed on their injury report for Thursday night’s matchup.
Charlotte has listed Pat Connaughton as questionable due to an illness and he is in danger of missing his second straight game.
If Connaughton is sidelined once again, Josh Green, Liam McNeeley and Tre Mann could all be in line for increased roles.
The Hornets have ruled out Tidjane Salaun due to a left calf strain as he will miss his 11th consecutive contest.
