The Los Angeles Lakers are on the road on Monday night as they travel to take on the Detroit Pistons in an interconference showdown.
Los Angeles enters Monday’s game with a 46-25 record after defeating the Orlando Magic on the road on Saturday night to extend their winning streak to nine games.
In Saturday’s victory over the Magic, Luka Doncic led the way for the Lakers as he recorded 33 points, five rebounds and eight assists while Austin Reaves added 26 points, seven rebounds and five assists of his own.
Now Los Angeles will try to grab their 10th consecutive victory on Monday as they face off against the Pistons in a tough road matchup.
On the other side, Detroit enters Monday’s contest with a 51-19 record after defeating the Golden State Warriors at home on Friday night.
Daniss Jenkins led the way for the Pistons in Friday’s victory as he ended the game with 22 points, seven rebounds and eight assists while Jalen Duren recorded 23 points and six rebounds.
While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Monday night’s matchup, both squads may be without multiple key players due to injuries.
For the Lakers, they have three players listed on their injury report, though Doncic is not one of them.
Of course, Doncic was expected to miss Monday’s game due to a suspension after he picked up his 16th technical foul of the season in Saturday’s victory, though the NBA announced on Sunday that the technical had been rescinded, meaning that the star guard will be available for Monday’s game.
The NBA has rescinded Lakers star Luka Doncic's 16th technical foul, allowing him to play in Monday's road game against the Detroit Pistons.

If Smart is sidelined, Luke Kennard and Jake LaRavia could both be in line for increased roles.

On the other side, the Pistons have three players listed on their injury report, including both Isaiah Stewart and Marcus Sasser.
Detroit has ruled out Stewart due to a Grade 1 left calf strain as he will miss his fourth consecutive contest.
